Are these classes fully bulk-billed through Medicare?

Yes - if you have a valid Chronic Disease Management Plan (EPC/CDM) from your GP, your classes can be bulk-billed with no out-of-pocket cost.

How many EPC sessions can I use?

Medicare provides 5 allied health sessions per calendar year. These can be used for your exercise classes.

Do I need an initial assessment first?

Typically Yes, however the form you fill out should suffice to confirm your goals, conditions, and safety prior to classes. During the class, your physiotherapist/ exercise physiologist will monitor your movement and safety closely. (How you perform an exercise is typically enough to provide enough information on your impairments and weaknesses)

What conditions qualify for EPC?

Any chronic condition lasting 6 months or more, such as osteoporosis, arthritis, diabetes, scoliosis, chronic pain, or mobility/balance issues. Your GP decides eligibility.

What happens after I use up my 5 EPC sessions

After your 5 sessions, many clients choose to continue with our classes privately due to the positive results they've experienced. We can accomodate those with My Aged Care Fundings Like Home Care Packages or NDIS, and we also accept Private Health Insurance. If you decide not to continue, our physiotherapists or exercise physiologist will ensure you're confident in performing the exercises safely at home.

Can I use my Home Care Package (HCP) for these classes?

Yes. HCP funding can cover:

- physio assessment

- exercise classes

- progress reviews

- falls prevention programs

This is part of maintaining strength, mobility, and independence.

Do I need approval from my HCP provider?

Yes - but we can assist with the service request.
Most care managers approve quickly because this program reduces falls risk and improves daily function.

What level of HCP is eligible?

All levels HCP 1–4 can fund physio-led exercise classes, depending on available budget and goals

Can NDIS participants join these classes?

Yes - a physiotherapy assessment is required to set goals and tailor your exercise plan.

What NDIS categories can this be funded under?

Most participants use:

- Improved Daily Living,

- Improved Health & Wellbeing, or

- Capacity Building Supports.

How many people are in each class?

Class sizes are small to ensure close supervision and personal guidance (5 people Max).

How long before I notice improvement?

Most people notice improvements in 3–6 weeks, including better strength, balance, and confidence.

What do I bring?

Comfortable clothing, a water bottle, and any mobility aids you normally use.

I’m scared of falling — is this program right for me?

Yes. Falls prevention is one of our main goals.
Exercises are designed to improve strength and stability safely.

What if I use a walking stick or frame?

You are absolutely welcome.
We modify all exercises to suit your mobility level.

How long is each class?

1 hour. Feel free to leave earlier if your body can't tolerate the full hour, or if you have other commitments.

Do I need to stop other gym or exercise programs?

No. Many people combine this with walking, hydrotherapy, or other gentle exercise.
